It is possible, although not trivial.  You should probably scan through 
the archives of this mailing list for the past couple of months, and 
maybe take a look at the new wiki, 
http://www.probo.com/timr/wiki/moin.cgi/FrontPage.  Switching to X.Org 
might be the path of least resistance.
