GL is suppored on all savages except the savage 2000. however the
current DRM is not secure so none of it is enabled by default in either
Xorg or the kernel. You have two options:
1. Build xorg/mesa from source:
http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/Building
2. grab the nightly binary snapshots:
http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/Download
