[Savage40] /dev/dri/card0

i can't manage to load the module "savage" from my mandriva 2006 (kernel 
2.6.12mdk).

if i type:
# modprobe savage

the console tell me:
"FATAL: Module savage not found."

perhaps i got the module "savagefb" but even if i load it the log file 
"/var/log/Xorg.0.log" tell me that it's not possible to open 
"/dev/dri/card0" which i think is created by the module "savage" (isn't it?)


it's a 2 month i'm trying to make work my savage 4 but i didn't manage!

i've tried to recompile my kernel but it doesn't create any module 
called savage.

i've also tried to create /dev/dri/card0 by "mknod" but every time i 
boot xorg that file disappear....


ps. i didn't update my mesa driver (i've installed version 5) because 
it's the most recent on mandriva.
