[Savage40] Savage IX Green windows and crashes

Hi, I've just tried the latest DRI package from
http://www.nixnuts.net/files/ and prior to his I had been using his
packages recompiled with the latest CVS (John Lightsey's done a much
icer packaging job than I managed though) IN both cases I get similar
problems.

DRI is enabled and glxgears runs at ~180fps. Window redraws are slow and
appear green beforehand (they are black with the stock xserver). X
crashes when I try and use firefox or take a screenshot with the gimp.

I would like to help debug these drivers but I can't seem to find any
useful errors in any of the logs. Is the green characteristic of
anything? I have played with John's packages enough now to be able to
recompile them with the latest CVS (Thanks to John for making these
packages in the first place)
