Hmm, that's a shame :-).

I tried the shadowstatus option but it didn't  seem to make a
difference. Is there any extra debug info I can activate at compile time
that might put something useful in the logs?

Has anyone else managed to get DRI working on a Toshiba Portege 3440ct,
3480ct or 3490ct?
