Hi,

I notice that in savage-driver.c, the call to SavagePanningCheck() is
commented out (well, the function is called, but the return value
ignored). I'm hoping this might solve my problem trying to use Xv with
an interlaced modeline.

Is there any easy way to use a recent savage driver with XFree86 4.3?
(I know the recent announcement said that the current driver cannot be
used with older X. What about the previous version of the driver? Is
there a version that will allow Xv with an interlaced modeline, and yet
still work with XFree86 4.3?)

It looks tricky to switch my debian system over to Xorg, so I'd like to
avoid that if possible.

Thanks,

Will       :-}
