Hi all,

   Just a quick note: I've patched my copy of the debian xfree86 4.3
savage driver to stop the panning check call from disabling Xv (the way
it is in the current Xorg CVS head). This allows me to use Xv with an
interlaced modeline. This doesn't have the sync problems that the Xorg
driver has with interlaced modelines.

   I am still getting some tearing on video playback. MythTV doesn't
seem to be keeping the MPEG playback in time with the TV's sync signal.
  I'm going to take that problem to the MythTV list.

Be well,

Will             :-}
