Hi all.
[ I'm not a native english speaker, so excuse me for my grammar ]
I'm using the savage MX driver for Linux since years on my toshiba laptop.
It's works well for what I need. But I have to put NoAccel in XF86Config otherwise X hangs.
_Anyway I am very glad for the work that is done for this driver._
I'm just writing here to point to a behaviour I discovered not a long time ago:
there is a connector for an external monitor on my laptop.
So one day I connected my old sony monitor. Works well.
Works very well, even with acceleration enabled!
When the graphic card outputs the signal to the external monitor, acceleration can be enabled. And of course even in 2D X feels snappier.
But when the grapic card output to the built-in LCD monitor with acceleration enabled, X hangs in a minute.
It's quite a odd behaviour isn't it?
(I have suscribed to the digest version of the mailing list, so thanks for replying with cc: my_mail)
Have a nice day all
