[Savage40] No dri with CVS Build?

That's not enough to tell.  You need to search for "dri" and "drm" in 
the log.

Also, savage_dri is a kernel module, not an X module.  Check in dmesg or 
/var/log/messages to see if a "savage" module is getting initialized.
