[Savage40] Increased Traffic

There has been an increase in the [Savage40] traffic in the past week or 
so, and as a result I have received an unusually large flood of 
unsubscribe requests (30 in 3 days).  I feel somewhat guilty about that, 
and wanted to explain my thinking.

I'm sure you all know that I haven't spent any active time on the Savage 
driver in quite a while, because of changes in my job.  Others have 
taken up that slack.  Because of that, I think it is more important now 
to SHARE information, whereas before I felt quite comfortable just 
ANNOUNCING information.  That's why I'm approving more of the incoming 
messages.

I know many folks wanted this to be a one-message-per-month announcement 
board.  I just don't think that's appropriate any more.  I will continue 
to offer this list as a way to share information on the Savage chips in 
XFree86 and X.Org, and I hope this meets the needs of the 730 of you who 
remain.
