AFAIK, there is no "official" debian package for X.org (I'm on a sid
(unstable) version, and I'm running Xfree). I think that X.Org is not
compatible with debian policy.

You have to follow the instructions on :
http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Building
in order to get it work.
