Interesting.  It's been a while since I messed with duoview...I swear I
had 24bpp working... perhaps it broke at some point.  it looks like it
may be an accel issue.  I'll try and look into it next time a get a
chance, however, I can't promise anything since I'm pretty busy at the
moment.  Can you see if disabling any accel routines fixes the problem
(eg. XaaNo... see the xorg.conf or XF86Config man page for more)
