what version of the code are you using?  a patch from my site?  xorg
from cvs?  Mergedfb only exists currently as an incomplete patch on my
website.  I never finished it up.  If you are running depth 24, you
need to disable screen to screen copies since they don't seem to work
correctly in depth 24 in dualhead mode.  I don't know why.  you need to
either use depth 16, or disable screen to screen copies.  Add:
XaaNoScreenToScreenCopy
to the device section of your config.  See that xorg.conf man page for
more on disabling XAA routines.  I'm planning to disable screen to
screens copies by default for depth 24 dualhead, but my savage laptop
was out of commission until yesterday.  I need to sync it up and commit
the patch.
