Hi!
I just installed the newest snapshot (common and savage) on my laptop
(archlinux), installation worked fine, modules drm and savage are loaded
and even glxinfo says that DRI is enabled. But running glxgears shows
only 400 Fps, which is exactly what I had before installing the driver.
But when I switch to another Desktop (so I cant see the windows output),
i get up to 5300 FPS.(I cant remember if it was like that before
installing too).
I have a "S3 Inc. VT8751 [ProSavageDDR P4M266] VGA Controller" (lspci)
and a Via mainboard.
I included a "Load "glx", Load "dri" and Section "DRI" Mode 0666" in my
xorg.conf.
I compiled agpgart and via_agp in my kernel (2.6.13.4) and excluded
drm(compiling it as a module didnt solve the problem),
compiling agpgart and via_agp as modules resultet in a crash while
starting X.
I don't want to make this email two pages long, so I uploaded my dmesg
and glxinfo output and my Xorg.0.log:
http://cthulhu.homelinux.org/dmesg.txt
http://cthulhu.homelinux.org/glxinfo
http://cthulhu.homelinux.org/xorg.log
Any ideas or help to solve this problem are welcome!
Many Thanks
Olav
