[Savage40] savage problems

hi,

I've a  pro savage ddr graphics adapter.

I run a slackware 10.2 with kernel 2.6.13.4
agpgart,via-agp and drm are copmiled as modules

I've installed the latest snapshot of savage and commons from
dri.freedesktop.org
in order to get something working I've also installed the extra "modules"
and "xorg"

now I've 3D acceleration working but there is a strange problem:

all texts and icons are displayed on the top of the screen( y coordinate is
correct).
in particular xterm work fine but all other programs suffer this problem and
are unusable.

I've tried several configurations but I've not found a solution.
If someone can help me to figure out where's the problem I'll be happy :)
