Remember that the SuperSavage has a very different 3D engine from the
Savage4 and the Savage/IX, and the public documentation isn't as good. 
I suspect it hasn't had nearly as much testing effort.

Only the T22/T23 had a SuperSavage.  The T20/T21 had a Savage/IX.  Those
were the only models in the "T2X series".

Almost certainly.  The ThinkPad T23 was designed in 2001.  For a laptop,
that makes it a dodgy old senior citizen.  This mailing list has dropped
from a peak of 1,000 subscribers to a current total of about 520.
