[Savage40] Issues on 8MB savages IX

"DmaMode" shouldn't be much of a probleem as it gets disabled by "Xorg"
(7.1) anyway. Concerning the 2nd option, I haven't observed any improvement
to using bus type "AGP" on my "IBM ThinkPad T23". In particular, the black
"glxgears" window remains unaltered. I have found a recent posting to this
list interesting, namely:

which seemed to point to evidence that the problems with "Xorg 7.1" might
actually rather be due to a modification of the kernel "DRM" code. This was
