Last month, I had reported issues with "Xorg 7.1" and the "SuperSavage/IXC
64" chip. Relevant bug reports are:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6357
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=195851
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=195854
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196011
Thanks to a patch submitted by A. Deucher, all of them have been settled! I
have committed a fedoradized patch to RH bug #19601 (attached below) which
can be applied to the current "rawhide" (status: works) and probably also
the "FC5" (status: builds, untested) source package. The spec file should
contain sections like the following ones:
--
Source0:
ftp://ftp.x.org/pub/individual/driver/%{tarball}-%{version}.tar.bz2Source1: savage.xinf
Patch0: savage-dri-locking-bug6357.patch
--
%setup -q -n %{tarball}-%{version}
%patch0 -p0 -b .savage-dri-locking-bug6357
--
The "savage-disable-dri-bug196011.patch" patch added by M. Harris to deal
with this issue can be removed. It didn't work anyway ..
