[Savage40] Thinkpad T23 and external monitor 1680x1050

Hi!

I have a Thinkpad T23 with SuSE linux 10.0. Does anybody know whether I 
might be able to attach it to an external 20'' wide screen LCD with a 
resolution of 1680x1050 and run it at the full native resolution of the 
monitor? I don't need dual head, just the external monitor.

I know that the S3 savage card should theoretically deliver a maximal 
resolution of 1600x1200 but what about 1680x1050?

I'm running xorg-x11-6.8.2 and savage-20050718.
