# Internal controls for measures

Measures now carry the fields teams use to manage an internal control, including a stable code, control type, status, owner, reviewer, and evidence and testing cadence. 

Measures now carry the details teams use to manage an [internal control](/docs/product/compliance-program). Each control has a stable code, type, implementation status, owner, and reviewer.

Set an operating cadence and separate evidence and testing cadences to track when work is due. The operating nature is manual for now.
