Create the banner, publish a version, paste one script tag into your page, and activate it. Tagging your existing third-party scripts takes a little longer. ### Do we have to pick a consent mode for each country? No. Probo resolves the regulation from the visitor's IP address and derives the presentation, buttons, and copy from it. There is no default consent mode to configure. ### Does it cover US state laws as well as GDPR? Yes. Opt-in covers GDPR, UK GDPR, FADP, Law 25, LGPD, and more, while opt-out covers CCPA, nineteen other US state laws, PIPEDA, and APPI. Mexico gets a notice. ### Do you need access to our app to find our cookies? No. Install the banner on your app the same way you install it on your site, and it reports what it sees in real sessions. There is no crawler to configure and no account to hand over. ### Can we block Google Analytics until a visitor consents? Yes. Tag the Google Analytics script with your analytics category, and the banner holds it until the visitor allows that category. The same works for pixels, embeds, and stylesheets. ### Does it work with Google Consent Mode v2? Yes. Map each category to Google consent types in the console, and the SDK sends the default and update calls to gtag or dataLayer. Turn it off when your own CMP already handles it. ### Does it respect Global Privacy Control? Yes. Probo reads the browser signal, records it as a rejection of non-necessary categories without asking again, and can show a GPC badge beside the settings link. ### Can we match the banner to our branding? Each visitor gets their own, picked up from your page or their browser, and you can add any other language yourself. ### Who edits the wording, and does it need a deploy? Your team, in the console, with no deploy. Edit any label or category description, preview it, then publish. The new wording reaches visitors without a code change. ### What do you store about each visitor? Just what an audit needs. Each record holds the action, category choices, banner version, regulation, country, user agent, and an anonymized IP address. The full address is never written. ### Can we manage banners from code? Yes. Use the prb CLI, 32 MCP tools, n8n nodes, or GraphQL to create banners, move trackers between categories, publish versions, and export consent records. The banner itself is MIT licensed and ships with no dependencies. ### Do we have to write our own cookie policy? No. Probo drafts one from your published banner, with a table of every tracker, its purpose, and how long it lasts, and rewrites it each time you publish.
