Cookie banner jurisdiction from geolocation
Every cookie banner interaction is mapped to country and privacy regulation automatically — consent records, APIs, and the banner UI stay aligned.
Probo now runs an IP-to-country geolocation service on every cookie banner interaction.
When a visitor lands on your site, Probo identifies their country and maps it to the applicable privacy regulation — GDPR, UK GDPR, FADP, CCPA, PIPEDA, LGPD, LFPDPPP, POPIA, PDPA, PIPL, PIPA, APPI, DPDP, or PDPL.
That regulation is then stored on the consent record.
The banner adapts accordingly: CCPA visitors see an opt-out notice. Visitors from regions with no applicable regulation see a simple notice. Visitors under GDPR see the standard consent flow.
The regulation and country code are now available across GraphQL, MCP, CLI, and n8n — so you can filter consent records by jurisdiction in audits or reporting pipelines.
No configuration needed. It works automatically for all new consent events.
