Smarter Privacy Law Detection
Cookie consent now resolves geolocation to the state or province, so US and Canadian visitors get the privacy law banner that actually applies—not a generic country-level one.
Privacy law doesn’t stop at the country border. Until now, every US visitor got labeled CCPA and every Canadian visitor got PIPEDA, regardless of which state or province they were actually in.
Geolocation now resolves down to the state or province, and consent banners map visitors to the law that actually applies to them. Virginia, Texas, and Colorado visitors get their own state law banners instead of a California-style CCPA notice, and Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia visitors get their province’s law instead of a generic PIPEDA one.
