Updates and Mailing List
Manage Compliance Portal subscribers, review confirmation status, prepare compliance announcements, and queue approved updates for email delivery.
Each Compliance Portal has its own mailing list. Visitors can subscribe to receive compliance updates, and portal managers can add or remove subscribers from the console.
Manage subscribers
Section titled “Manage subscribers”Open the portal, then select Mailing List. The subscriber list shows each person’s name, email address, subscription status, and subscription date.
- Pending subscribers have not completed confirmation.
- Confirmed subscribers receive updates.
- Removing a subscriber stops future sends to that address.
Use Add subscriber when a person has asked to join outside the portal. Do not add people without an appropriate basis for contacting them.
Create and send an update
Section titled “Create and send an update”- Open Mailing List, then select the updates view.
- Create an update and enter a title and body.
- Review the draft for confidential or customer-specific information.
- Select Send, review the confirmation, and confirm the send.
Sending queues the update for delivery. A sent update becomes read-only; create a new update if you need to issue a correction. Delivery also requires working outbound email configuration.
Visitor experience
Section titled “Visitor experience”Sent updates appear in the portal’s Updates section. Signed-in visitors can choose Subscribe to updates from the user menu and unsubscribe later. A subscription affects email delivery only; visitors can still read published updates without subscribing.
Automate mailing-list work
Section titled “Automate mailing-list work”The Compliance Portal MCP tools can list subscribers, create and edit drafts, and queue sends. Treat sendMailingListUpdate as an external side effect and require an explicit review step before calling it.
